SAN JOSE, CALIF. - The San Jose Barracuda (1-0) used 28 Troy Grosenick saves to earn a 4-0 win over the Stockton Heat (0-1) in game one of the Divisional Semifinal best-of-five series at SAP Center on Friday night.

Grosenick (1-0) made 28 saves to earn the playoff win while Jon Gillies (0-1) allowed three goals on 35 shots.

After killing off the series' first power play, Tim Heed (1) worked his way into the offensive zone and ripped a shot short-side top-shelf from the right wing to give San Jose the opening-period lead at 6:38.

San Jose added to its advantage in the second as Buddy Robinson fed a cross-ice pass to Ryan Carpenter (1) on a two-on-one and Carpenter fired a shot top shelf at 3:34.

In the third, Carpenter potted his second of the game as he jammed a loose puck into the open net after Gillies failed to secure a point shot from Mirco Mueller at 11:37. San Jose sealed the victory when Kevin Labanc scored on an empty net at 19:21.
