BARRACUDA REASSIGN FORWARD SCHOENBORN

San Jose, CA - The San Jose Barracuda (@sjbarracuda), presented by Barracuda Networks (@barracuda), and General Manager Joe Will announced today that the club has reassigned forward Alex Schoenborn (@aschoenborn22) to the Allen Americans (@AllenAmericans), the team's ECHL affiliate (@ECHL).
 
The 21-year-old forward from Minot, North Dakota, was originally drafted by the San Jose Sharks in the third round (#72 overall) of the 2014 NHL draft. In 25 games played for the Barracuda this season, Schoenborn recorded four points (1+3=4), 17 penalty minutes and a minus-one rating. The 6-foot-1, 196-pound winger played in two games for Allen last season after the conclusion of his junior career, collecting one point (0+1=1), zero penalty minutes and a minus-two rating.
 
Prior to turning pro, Schoenborn played in 208 games with the Portland Winter Hawks (WHL) where he totaled 128 points (61+67=128), 289 penalty minutes and a minus-six rating.
