BARRACUDA REASSIGN FORWARDS MCAULEY, ASUCHAK TO ALLEN

SAN JOSE - The San Jose Barracuda (@SJBarracuda), proud American Hockey League (@TheAHL) affiliate of the San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks), and General Manager Joe Will announced today that the club has reassigned Forwards Colby McAuley (@CMcAuley_93) and Spencer Asuchak (@Asuchak16) to the Allen Americans (@AllenAmericans), its ECHL (@ECHL) affiliate.
 
In 8 games with the Barracuda this season, McAuley has collected zero points, 14 penalty minutes, and an even rating. McAuley, 21, has also skated in 19 games with the Americans, earning 14 points (five goals, nine assists), 43 penalty minutes, and a plus-four rating.
 
Over a four-year career with the WHL's Prince George Cougars, McAuley skated in 191 games and accumulated 96 points (44 goals, 52 assists), 318 penalty minutes and a plus-17 rating. In 2015-16, McAuley led the WHL league in penalty minutes.
 
Asuchak, 26, has appeared in six games for the Barracuda this season, collecting zero points, two penalty minutes, and a minus-two rating.
 
The native of Fort St. John, British Columbia, Canada has appeared in 60 AHL games during his five-year professional career with Providence, Worcester, Chicago, and San Jose, accumulating 10 points (five goals, five assists), 60 penalty minutes and a minus-six rating. Asuchak skated in four Calder Cup playoff games for the Barracuda last year, totaling two penalty minutes and a minus-one rating.
