BARRACUDA RECALL FORWARD JAKE MARCHMENT

San Jose, CA - The San Jose Barracuda (@sjbarracuda), presented by Barracuda Networks (@barracuda), and General Manager Joe Will announced today that the club has recalled forward Jake Marchment (@Marchment27) from the Allen Americans (@AllenAmericans), the team's ECHL affiliate (@ECHL).
 
The 21-year-old forward was originally drafted by the Los Angeles Kings in the sixth round (#157 overall) of the 2014 NHL Draft. In 31 games played for Allen this season, Marchment has recorded 22 points (11+11=22), 27 penalty minutes and a plus-9 rating. Marchment appeared in San Jose's opener at Stockton on Oct. 15, registering zero points.
 
In 2015-16, the 6-foot-3, 205-pound forward appeared in 60 games for the Erie Otters (OHL) in his final season of junior hockey, recording 45 points (25+20=45), 60 penalty minutes and a plus-14 rating. The Courtice, Ontario, native is the nephew of long-time Sharks forward and current scout, Bryan Marchment.
 
Marchment was signed by the Barracuda as a free agent on July 11, 2016.
