BARRACUDA RELEASE HERBERT AND WARNING FROM PTO

SAN JOSE, CA - The San Jose Barracuda (@SJBarracuda), proud American Hockey League (@TheAHL) affiliate of the San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks), and General Manager Joe Will announced today that the club has released Forwards Caleb Herbert (@GuyHeyber21) and Sam Warning (@warning_sam) from their professional tryout agreements (PTO).
 
Herbert, 26, recorded four points (one goal, three assists), 12 penalty minutes, and a minus-three rating in 12 games with the Barracuda. In his career, the Bloomington, Minnesota native has collected 12 goals, 15 assists and 69 penalty minutes in 102 career AHL games with Hershey, Texas, Hartford, and San Jose. In addition, he has skated in 105 ECHL games South Carolina, Idaho, and Greenville, totaling 53 goals, 44 assists and 174 penalty minutes.

The six-foot, 195-pound fourth-year pro was originally drafted by the Washington Capitals in the fifth round (#142) of the 2010 NHL draft.

Warning, 25, recorded four points (two goals, two assists), four penalty minutes, and a minus-six rating in 18 games with the Barracuda. Prior to joining San Jose, the third-year pro skated in 174 ECHL games with the Quad City Mallards over a three year period, accumulating 116 points (56 goals, 60 assists), 79 penalty minutes, and a minus-20 rating.
 
The five-foot-11, 181-pound winger played with Barracuda defenseman Michael Brodzinski at the University of Minnesota from 2013-15.
