BARRACUDA SIGN FORWARD MARC-OLIVIER ROY TO A PTO

SAN JOSE - The San Jose Barracuda (@SJBarracuda), proud American Hockey League (@TheAHL) affiliate of the San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks), and General Manager Joe Will announced today that the club has signed forward Marc-Olivier Roy (@MarcoRoy11) to a professional tryout agreement (PTO).
 
Over his three-year professional career, Roy has appeared in 65 AHL games with the Bakersfield Condors and Utica Comets, accumulating 26 points (nine goals, 17 assists), 24 penalty minutes and an even rating.
 
In 13 games with the Fort Wayne Komets (ECHL) this season, Roy (six-foot, 193 pounds) ranks first on the team in points (16), assists (11) and is T-fifth in goals (5). In 28 career ECHL games with Norfolk, Alaska, and Fort Wayne, Roy has collected 23 points (seven goals, 16 assists), and 37 penalty minutes.
 
 A native of Boisbriand, Quebec, Roy was originally drafted by the Edmonton Oilers in the second round (#56) of the 2013 NHL Draft.
