The San Jose Barracuda and the Texas Stars (AHL affiliate of the Dallas Stars) meet for the 1st of six meetings this season, the 1st of three meetings at the SAP Center. The Barracuda are 0-0-0-0 vs. the Stars this season and are 0-0-0-0 in zero career matchups. The Barracuda return home to the SAP Center after ending a season long seven game road trip with a 3-2-0-2 record. San Jose begins a five home stand this afternoon at the SAP Center in the 2nd of 13 Barracuda/Sharks doubleheaders this season. The Stars are 2-0-0-0 on their current four game road trip which will end with a pair of games vs. the Barracuda this weekend at the SAP Center. The Barracuda and the Stars meet again at the SAP Center tomorrow at 3pm.

In case you missed it…
The San Jose Barracuda (6-7-0-3, 15pts) presented by Barracuda Networks played an excellent road game with a 3-1 win over the host Charlotte Checkers (9-9-0-0, 18pts) in front 5,116 fans at the Bojangles’ Coliseum on Wednesday evening. Greger Hanson, Trevor Parkes and Nikolay Goldobin scored for San Jose while goaltender Troy Grosenick made 19 saves in net as the Barracuda finished up their season long seven game road trip with a 3-2-0-2 record.

The Texas Stars offense continued to roll in a 5-3 road win in San Diego on Wednesday night. Brendan Ranford tallied a three point night (1-2-3) and Esa Lindell scored twice for the Stars. Jack Campbell made 17 saves in net for the win.

*Recent transactions…defenseman Dylan DeMelo was recalled by the SJ Sharks on Friday afternoon and now joins Micheal Haley, Melker Karlsson, and Mirco Mueller with the SJ Sharks in the NHL. Forward Chris Crane was reassigned by the SJ Sharks from the Barracuda to the Allen Americans (ECHL) on Friday morning.
