The Barracuda kicked off the 2018-19 season with a 4-1 win over the Ontario at home on Friday and then a 5-1 victory over the Bakersfield Condors in Bakersfield on Saturday. San Jose is back in action on Wednesday (Oct. 10) against the Condors at SAP Center.

Oct. 5 – San Jose Barracuda 4 vs. Ontario Reign 1
Dylan Gambrell netted the games first two goals in the first eight minutes and 19 seconds of action and Antoine Bibeau picked right where he left off a season ago, making 30 of 31 saves to earn the 4-1 win. Francis Perron and Maxim Letunov also tallied for Team Teal, while Zack Mitchell netted his team’s only goal in the middle frame.
Oct. 6 – San Jose Barracuda 5 at Bakersfield Condors 1
After a scoreless first in which Barracuda netminder Josef Korenar made 14 opening-period saves, Jayden Halbgewachs cashed in his first pro tally before fellow rookie Maxim Letunov potted his second in as many games. Cavan Fitzgerald would complete the three-goal period to give San Jose a 3-0 lead through 40. In the final period, Josh Currie got Bako on the board to inch his club within two but Nick DeSimone on the power play and Francis Perron at full strength put the game well out of reach, 5-1.
