- For the second consecutive season Danny O’Regan scored the Barracuda’s first goal of the season
- A pair of rookies, Rudolfs Balcers and Manuel Wiederer, scored in their debuts for San Jose on Saturday, joining O’Regan as the only Barracuda rookies to do that
- Saturday’s win was San Jose’s first season-opening victory in franchise history (1-2-0)
