'CUDA SET TO BECOME THE KANSAS CITY BLADES ON DEC. 9TH

SAN JOSE - The San Jose Barracuda (@SJBarracuda), proud American Hockey League (@TheAHL) affiliate of the National Hockey League's (@NHLSan Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks), continue honoring the history of the Sharks primary affiliates on December 9th at 5 p.m. as a part of a five-game throwback series. The Barracuda will become the Kansas City Blades for the night, Sharks affiliate from 1991 to 1996.


The game will feature complete rebranding on social media and within SAP Center at San Jose and the team will wear throwback Kansas City Blades jerseys during the game.
Various alumni from the era will be honored throughout each game, including Tom Pederson (1991-1994) and Sharks Head Equipment Manager Mike Aldrich (1993-1995).
 
December 9 is the second of five throwback nights, honoring the Sharks affiliate history. San Jose will also be honoring the Worcester Sharks (Jan. 13), Kentucky Thoroughblades (Feb. 2), and San Jose Barracuda (Feb. 18). For more information on the remaining throwback games, visit sjbarracuda.com/promotions.
