Bakersfield, CA - The San Jose Barracuda (32-26-4-4) kept playoff hopes alive on Wednesday as they topped the Bakersfield Condors (30-26-9-1), 2-1, at Rabobank Arena.
After a scoreless opening period, Rudolfs Balcers (23) jammed in the games first goal as he received a pass from Rourke Chartier along the right side of the net at 13:36 on a five-on-three man-advantage. The tally tied Balcers with Danny O'Regan (2016-17) for the most goals scored in a season by a Barracuda rookie.

The Condors cut the lead down to one when Tyler Vesel (2) cashed in on a two-on-one at 16:43, but the Barracuda would hold off Bakersfield's comeback attempt to complete the 2-1 win and extend its winning streak to four-straight games.
