Down to Two: The Barracuda wrap up the 2021 regular season with two games against the Henderson Silver Knights on Saturday and Tuesday. Saturday’s game will part of a doubleheader at T-Mobile Arena as the Vegas Golden Knights will take on the St. Louis Blues at 7 p.m. The Barracuda are 2-3-0-1 against Henderson this season and are coming off a 4-0 loss in the most recent meeting on May 1 at SAP Center.

Playoff Push: On Friday, the AHL announced the format and schedule for the Pacific Division playoff tournament. All seven teams will participate in the tournament to determine the 2020-21 division championship. The fourth-through seventh-place clubs in the regular-season standings will play a single-elimination play-in, held at FivePoint Arena in Irvine, Calif., to determine who will join the top three teams in the best-of-three semifinals. The Barracuda enter Saturday’s game in the fourth spot in the Pacific Division.

Friend to Foe: Former Sharks prospect Danny O’Regan picked up five points (2+3=5) in two games last weekend against the Barracuda and has eight points (4+4=8) in six games against San Jose this season. O’Regan has points (7+4=11) in six of his last seven games and is now tied for eighth in the AHL in scoring (12+18=30).

Ozzy Ozzy Ozzy, Oi Oi Oi: After skating in 23 games with the Prince Albert Raiders and totaling 28 points (7+21=28), Ozzy Wiesblatt returned to the Barracuda lineup on Monday. The Sharks selected the 18-year-old 31st overall in the 2020 NHL Draft. Wiesblatt began the season in the AHL where he appeared in three games with the Barracuda and scored his first pro goal on Feb. 13 at Texas.

More Movement: The Sharks recalled defenseman Brinson Pasichnuk, forward Joel Kellman, and goaltender Alexei Melnichuk on Thursday and in a corresponding move, assigned forward Fredrick Handemark, defenseman Nicolas Meloche and goaltender Zach Sawchenko back to the Barracuda. The Sharks also assigned forward Vlad Kotkov and goaltender Zachary Emond from the Saint John Sea Dogs of the QMJHL and forward Tristen Robins from the Saskatoon Blades of the WHL.
