GROSENICK, O'REGAN NAMED TO THE AHL ALL-STAR TEAM

San Jose, Calif. - San Jose Barracuda (@sjbarracuda) General Manager Joe Will, in conjunction with the American Hockey League (@TheAHL), has announced that Barracuda Goaltender Troy Grosenick (@TGrose1) and rookie Forward Danny O'Regan (@DannyORegan15) have been named to the 2017 AHL All-Star Classic presented by BlueCross, which will take place at Lehigh Valley's PPL Center on January 29 and 30.
 
In his fourth professional season, the 27-year-old Grosenick is having a career season posting a 9-5-1 in 19 games played. The Brookfield, WI, native leads the AHL in shutouts (5), is 12th in wins, sixth in save percentage (2.06) and T-third in goals-against average (.929).
 
In 28 AHL games played for the Barracuda in 2015-16, Grosenick went 11-10-4 with a 3.16 goals-against average and a .894 save percentage. Before this season Grosenick had four career shutouts including a 45-save shutout in his NHL debut with the San Jose Sharks on Nov. 16, 2014, against the Carolina Hurricanes.
 
Amongst AHL rookies, O'Regan ranks second in points (31) and assists (21) and is third in points per game (1.15). He also ranks first on the Barracuda in points, T-first assists and second in goals (10).
 
In 2015-16, the 22-year-old native of Needham, MA, was and Assistant Captain for the Boston University Terriers in his senior season and led the team in goals (17), assists (27) and points (44) and was named a Hockey East First Team All-Star
