O'REGAN NAMED TO THE AHL ALL-ROOKIE TEAM

SAN JOSE, CALIF. - The American Hockey League announced today that Barracuda forward Daniel O'Regan (@DannyORegan15) has been selected to the 2016-17 AHL All-Rookie Team,as voted by coaches, players and media in each of the league's 30 member cities. 
 
Among AHL rookies, the 2017 AHL All-Star ranks first in points (21+33=54), fifth in goals, second in assists, second in power-play goals (9), and is T-first in game-winning goals (5).  
 
O'Regan leads the Barracuda in points, is second in goals, third in assists, first in power-play goals and first in game-winning goals. 
 
In 2015-16, O'Regan's senior season at Boston University, the native of Needham, Massachusetts, led the Terriers in goals (17), assists (27) and points (44) and was Named a Hockey East First Team All-Star. O'Regan became just the 18th player in BU history to eclipse the 150-point mark in a career.
 
The San Jose Sharks selected O'Regan in the fifth round (#138) of the 2012 NHL Draft.  The five-foot-ten, 175-pound center-man made his NHL debut for San Jose on November 21, 2016 against New Jersey.
