SAN JOSE, CA - The San Jose Barracuda (6-6-0-1) defeated the Ontario Reign (4-7-0-1) by a score of 1-0 Saturday at SAP Center in the second match-up between the teams to this point in the season and the first of a two-game weekend series in San Jose.

Neither team was able to take advantage of their respective power play opportunities in the scoreless opening period. The Barracuda took a total of 11 shots through the first 20 minutes of play, with multiple attempts coming from Jacob Middleton and Rudolf Balcers, while the Reign tallied nine shot attempts with only T.J. Hensick recording multiple tries.

The Barracuda took a 1-0 lead just over two minutes into the second period when Jeremy Roy (1) powered in a slapshot from the right point for his first goal of his professional career. San Jose failed to convert with the man advantage during the sole power play of the period but continued to hold the Reign scoreless, carrying the one-goal lead into the final period.

In the third period, Barracuda netminder Antoine Bibeau and his defensive core maintained the shutout performance preventing the Reign from converting any of their 10 shot attempts in the period, and making Roy’ssecond period goal the eventual game-winner.

San Jose's Bibeau (3-3) earned the victory with 31 saves on 31 shots, while Ontario's Jack Campbell (2-4-1) took the loss with 30 saves on 31 shots.
