San Jose Barracuda Assign Goaltender Murray to Allen

SAN JOSE - The San Jose Barracuda (@SJBarracuda) presented by Barracuda Networks and the American Hockey League affiliate of the San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) has announced that the club has assigned goaltender Jamie Murray to its ECHL affiliate the Allen Americans.

Murray was signed by the San Jose Sharks as an undrafted free agent out of Babson College this past spring where he went 14-5-3 with an 1.61 goals-against average and a .896 save percentage in his final year of collegiate hockey.

Murray appeared in four games for Allen at the end of last year, going 1-0-2 with a 1.44 goals-against average and a .963 save percentage.

With the departure of Murray, two goaltenders now remain on the Barracuda roster (Troy Grosenick, Mantas Armalis)

The San Jose Barracuda kick off the 2016-17 season on the road on Oct. 15 against the Stockton Heat (Calgary Flames) at 7:30 p.m. All the action can be heard on the flagship station of the Barracuda, AM 1220 KDOW.
