Jan 23, 2016

SAN JOSE, CA – The San Jose Barracuda (@SJBarracuda) presented by Barracuda Networks (@barracuda) and the American Hockey League (@TheAHL) affiliate of the San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks)  unveiled mascot “Frenzy” before the Barracuda game on Saturday vs. the Ontario Reign.

Frenzy was created by the San Jose Sharks mascot SJ Sharkie to entertain Barracuda hockey fans at the SAP Center and to attend several community events throughout the Bay Area. Frenzy spent a lot of time with SJ Sharkie over the last several weeks learning dance moves, secret handshakes, and all necessary training to making sure he Frenzy is ready to entertain at the SAP Center.

“I realize that some Barracuda have a bad reputation among us in the aquatic world, like sharks, but Frenzy has a big heart and I know Frenzy will be a terrific addition to the community we all serve.  After all, frenzy rhymes with friendly,” said SJ Sharkie.

Fans are encouraged to follow Frenzy on Twitter (@FrenzyAHL) and Instagram (@FrenzyAHL).  For the most up to date information regarding Frenzy please visit www.sjbarracuda.com/frenzy.

"The Barracuda are excited to introduce Frenzy to our fans and the Bay Area community,” said San Jose Barracuda Vice President Jon Gustafson. “We expect Frenzy to be extremely active in the Bay Area community and we look forward to Frenzy’s involvement at all upcoming Barracuda home games.”
