SHARKS ASSIGN FORWARD MANUEL WIEDERER TO SAN JOSE BARRACUDA

SAN JOSE, CA San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) general manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has assigned forward Manuel Wiederer (@wieds21) to the San Jose Barracuda (@sjbarracuda), the team's top development affiliate in the American Hockey League

Wiederer, 22, appeared in one preseason game for the Sharks in 2019, scoring two goals against the Calgary Flames on Sept. 18. Last season, Wiederer appeared in 39 games for the Barracuda, logging 16 points (nine goals, seven assists) with a plus-seven rating. Wiederer is entering his third season with the Barracuda.

The six-foot-one, 180-pound native of Deggendorf, Germany, was selected by San Jose in 2016 NHL Draft (fifth round, 150th overall).
