Sharks Reassign Dylan DeMelo & Micheal Haley

SAN JOSE -  San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has reassigned defenseman Dylan DeMelo (@ddems2) and forward Micheal Haley to the San Jose Barracuda  (AHL, @sjbarracuda).

DeMelo, 22, has recorded five assists in 12 games with the Barracuda this season and has played in two games with the Sharks, making his NHL debut on Oct. 17 against the NY Islanders. 

A six-foot-one, 195-pound native of London, Ontario, DeMelo was originally drafted by San Jose in the sixth round (179th overall) of the 2011 NHL Draft.

The 29-year-old Haley currently ranks T-3rd on the Barracuda with four goals and has six points (two assists) in six AHL games this season. He scored the first goal in Barracuda history and also paces the team with two power-play tallies (tied). In 63 career NHL games with the NY Islanders, NY Rangers and Sharks, Haley has recorded two goals, one assist and 189 penalty minutes. Haley has appeared in seven games with the Sharks this season.

The five-foot-ten, 205-pound native of Guelph, Ontario, was signed by San Jose as a free agent on July 10, 2014.
