SHARKS REASSIGN GAMBRELL AND MIDDLETON TO BARRACUDA

SAN JOSE, CA San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) general manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has reassigned forward Dylan Gambrell (@D_Gambrell7) and defenseman Jacob Middleton to the San Jose Barracuda (@sjbarracuda), the team's top development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).

Gambrell, 23, has appeared in 30 games for the Sharks, recording six points (two goals, four assists) with 13 penalty minutes. Gambrell registered his first career NHL goal in the regular season on Oct. 22. He also earned his first career assist streak from Oct. 8-10, collecting three assists over two games.

The six-foot, 180-pound native of Bonney Lake, Washington was selected by San Jose in the 2016 NHL Draft (second round, 60th overall).

Middleton, 23, appeared in two games for the Sharks this year. He has split the season between the Sharks and Barracuda, recording two assists in 12 games with 31 penalty minutes at the AHL level. 

The six-foot-three, 210-pound native of Stratford, Ontario was signed by San Jose as a free agent on Sept. 7, 2017.
