SHARKS REASSIGN GAMBRELL AND MIDDLETON TO BARRACUDA

SAN JOSE, CA San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) general manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has reassigned center Dylan Gambrell (@d_gambrell7) and defenseman Jacob Middleton to the San Jose Barracuda (@sjbarracuda), the team's top development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).

 

Gambrell returns to the Barracuda with 24 points (9g, 15a) in 27 games. Gambrell is in the midst of his first professional season. 

 

The six-foot, 185-pound native of Bonney Lake, Washington, was selected by San Jose in the 2016 NHL Draft (second round, 60th overall).

 

Middleton was one of three players from the Barracuda to be named to the 2019 AHL All-Star Classic(Josef Korenar and Francis Perron) with 12 points (2g, 10a) and a +14 rating in his third AHL season. 

 

The six-foot-three, 210-pound native of Stratford, Ontario, was signed by San Jose as a free agent September 7, 2017.
