SHARKS RECALL CENTER ROURKE CHARTIER

SAN JOSE, CA - San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) general manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has recalled center Rourke Chartier from the San Jose Barracuda (@sjbarracuda), the team's top development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL). 

Chartier, 22, started the 2018-19 season with the San Jose Sharks, making his NHL debut on Oct. 8 at the New York Islanders. He scored his first career NHL goal on Oct. 23 at Nashville for one point in 13 games played. Since joining the San Jose Barracuda this year, Chartier has skated in eight contests, registering eight points (two goals, six assists). With the Barracuda in 2017-18, he recorded seven goals and added 14 assists for 21 total points.

The five-foot-eleven, 190-pound native of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan was drafted by San Jose in the fifth round (149th overall) of the 2014 NHL Draft.
