SHARKS RECALL DEFENSEMAN JAKE MIDDLETON

SAN JOSE, CA San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) general manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has recalled defenseman Jacob Middleton from the San Jose Barracuda (@sjbarracuda), the team's top development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).

 

In 29 games with the Barracuda this season, Middleton has 12 points (2g, 10a). At the time of his recall, Middleton ranks T-third in assists and points among Barracuda defensemen. Middleton was one of three players from the Barracuda to be named to the 2019 AHL All-Star Classic (Josef Korenarand Francis Perron).

 

The six-foot-three, 210-pound native of Stratford, Ontario, was signed by San Jose as a free agent September 7, 2017.

 

In a related move, defenseman Marc-Edouard Vlasic was placed on Injured Reserve.
