SHARKS RECALL DEFENSEMAN MUELLER

SAN JOSE, CA - San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has recalled defenseman Mirco Mueller (@muellermirco) from the San Jose Barracuda (@sjbarracuda), the team's top development affiliate in the American Hockey League (@TheAHL).
 
Mueller, 21, ranks 4th among defensemen on the Barracuda in assists (8) and in points (8), in 25 games this season.  In 87 career AHL games, he has 22 points (2 goals, 20 assists). 
 
In 50 NHL games, Mueller has tallied one goal and three assists.  He made his NHL debut on October 8, 2014 at Los Angeles.
 
The six-foot-three, 210-pound native of Winterthur, Switzerland, was originally selected by San Jose in the first round (18th overall) of the 2013 NHL Draft.
 
In a related move, Marc-Edouard Vlasic has been placed on Injured Reserve.
