SAN JOSE -  San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has recalled defenseman Dylan DeMelo (@ddems2) from the San Jose Barracuda (AHL, @sjbarracuda).

DeMelo, 22, has recorded five assists in 12 games with the Barracuda this season and has played in two games with the Sharks, making his NHL debut on Oct. 17 against the NY Islanders.

A six-foot-one, 195-pound native of London, Ontario, DeMelo was originally drafted by San Jose in the sixth round (179th overall) of the 2011 NHL Draft.

In a related move, the Sharks placed defenseman Justin Braun on injured reserve.
