SHARKS RECALL FORWARD ANTTI SUOMELA

SAN JOSE, CA - San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) general manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has recalled forward Antti Suomela (@SuomelaAntti) from the San Jose Barracuda (@sjbarracuda), the team's top development affiliate in the American Hockey League (@TheAHL).

Suomela, 25, has skated in 12 games for the Sharks this season, recording three assists. Suomela made his 2019-20 debut Nov. 21 at Vegas and registered one assist in the victory.

He also appeared in 14 total games for the Barracuda this season, tallying five goals and four assists with six penalty minutes and one game-winning goal.

The six-foot, 180-pound native of Espoo, Finland was signed by San Jose as a free agent on June 6, 2018.
