SHARKS RECALL FORWARD ANTTI SUOMELA FROM BARRACUDA

SAN JOSE, CA San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) general manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has recalled forward Antti Suomela (@SuomelaAntti) from the San Jose Barracuda (@sjbarracuda), the team's top development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).

Suomela, 25, has appeared in 11 total games for the Barracuda this season, recording seven points (four goals, three assists) with a plus-three rating. At the time of his recall, Suomela ranks tied for second in goals on the Barracuda. 

Prior to the 2019-20 season, Suomela split the season with the Sharks and Barracuda, recording eight points (three goals, five assists) in 27 games with the Sharks and logged 20 points (six goals, 14 assists) in 47 games with the Barracuda.  

The six-foot, 180-pound native of Espoo, Finland was signed by San Jose as a free agent on June 6, 2018.
