SHARKS RECALL FORWARD CARPENTER

SAN JOSE - San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has recalled forward Ryan Carpenter (@carpydeuces) from the San Jose Barracuda (@sjbarracuda), the team's top development affiliate in the American Hockey League (@TheAHL). 

Carpenter, 25, has played in three games with the Sharks this season, including scoring his first NHL goal on Nov. 30 at Los Angeles. He currently ranks fifth on the Barracuda in points (18), tied for seventh in goals (7) and tied for fifth in assists (11) in 28 AHL games this season. 

In 180 games in the AHL, Carpenter has registered 109 points (37 goals, 72 assists). He finished the 2015-16 season as team-leader in points (55) and won the Yanick Dupre Memorial Award for community service. He made his NHL debut on December 11, 2015 against the Minnesota Wild. 

A six-foot, 195-pound native of Oviedo, Florida, Carpenter was originally signed as a free agent on March 26, 2014.
