Sharks Recall Forward John McCarthy

SAN JOSE - San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has recalled forward John McCarthy from the San Jose Barracuda (AHL, @sjbarracuda).

The 29-year-old McCarthy has appeared in five games with the Barracuda this season. He last appeared in an NHL game on Feb. 7, 2014 with San Jose, and has recorded three goals, three assists and 22 penalty minutes in 87 career NHL games with the Sharks.

A six-foot-one, 195-pound native of Boston, Massachusetts, McCarthy was signed by San Jose as a free agent on July 2, 2015. He was originally drafted by San Jose in the 2006 NHL Draft (7th round, 202nd overall).
