SHARKS RECALL FORWARD LABANC

SAN JOSE - San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has recalled forward Kevin Labanc (@Str8ToTheBanc) from the San Jose Barracuda (@sjbarracuda), the team's top development affiliate in the American Hockey League (@TheAHL).
 
The 20 year-old Labanc is T-3rd on the Barracuda in assists (9) and has 13 points in 8 games with the AHL team.  His plus-8 rating is 2nd on the Barracuda.  He paces all AHL-rookies, and is 3rd in the league rankings, with 1.63 points per game.
 
Labanc has four points (two goals, two assists) in 12 games with the Sharks. He scored his first NHL goal on Nov. 17 at St. Louis.
 
The five-foot-ten, 185-pound native of Brooklyn, New York, was originally drafted by San Jose in the sixth round (171st overall) of the 2014 NHL Draft.
