SHARKS RECALL FORWARD TIMO MEIER

SAN JOSE - San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has recalled foward Timo Meier (@MeierTimo) from the San Jose Barracuda (@sjbarracuda), the team's top development affiliate in the American Hockey League (@TheAHL).

Meier leads the Barracuda in goals (9), and sits 3rd on the team in points (15) while playing in 17 games this season. He is tied for the team lead in plus/minus with a plus-8 rating on the year.

The 20-year-old is currently tied for 18th place in the AHL in goals.
 
Meier had a career-long four game point streak (5 goals, 3 assists) from Nov. 25 to Dec. 4, and had his first multi-goal game on Dec. 3 at San Antonio. This is his first professional season.
 
In addition, defenseman Mirco Mueller (@muellermirco) has been assigned to the San Jose Barracuda.
 
Mueller, 21, ranks 3rd among defensemen on the Barracuda in assists (7) and 4th in points, in 18 games this season.  In 80 career AHL games, he has 21 points (2 goals, 19 assists). 
 
In 50 NHL games, Mueller has tallied one goal and three assists.  He made his NHL debut on October 8, 2014 at Los Angeles.
 
The six-foot-three, 210-pound native of Winterthur, Switzerland, was originally selected by San Jose in the first round (18th overall) of the 2013 NHL Draft.
