SHARKS RECALL FORWARDS LEAN BERGMANN AND MAXIM LETUNOV FROM SAN JOSE BARRACUDA

SAN JOSE, CA - San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) general manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has recalled forward Lean Bergmann (@Bergmann_Lean98) and Maxim Letunov from the San Jose Barracuda (@sjbarracuda), the team's top development affiliate in the American Hockey League (@TheAHL). 

Bergmann, 21, has appeared in 31 games for the Barracuda, registering 17 points (eight goals, nine assists) with a plus-three rating. He also has appeared in eight games for the Sharks, recording his first career NHL point on Oct. 8 at Nashville.

The six-foot-two, 205-pound native of Iserlohn, Germany was signed by San Jose as a free agent on May 28, 2019. 

Letunov, 23, has appeared in three games for the Sharks, making his NHL debut on Feb. 4 at Calgary and scored his first career NHL goal on Feb. 6 at Edmonton. The forward has also skated in 43 games for the Barracuda this season, recording 34 points (12 goals, 22 assists), 12 penalty minutes and two game-winning goals.

The six-foot-four, 193-pound native of Moscow, Russia was acquired by San Jose along with a sixth-round selection in the 2017 NHL Draft from the Arizona Coyotes in exchange for a fourth-round selection in the 2016 NHL Draft and a third-round selection in the 2017 NHL Draft.

In addition, defenseman Nicolas Meloche has been reassigned to the Barracuda.
