Sharks Recall Karl Stollery

SAN JOSE - San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has recalled defenseman Karl Stollery (@stolleryk) from the San Jose Barracuda (AHL).

Stollery, 28, has played in six games with the Barracuda this season, recording an assist, +2 rating and eight shots on goal.

A six-foot, 180-pound native of Camrose, Alberta, Stollery was acquired by San Jose from Colorado in exchange Freddie Hamilton on March 2, 2015.

In a related move, the Sharks reassigned defenseman Dylan DeMelo (@ddems2) to the San Jose Barracuda (AHL).

DeMelo, 22, has played in three games with the Barracuda this season and two games with the Sharks, making his NHL debut on Oct. 17 against the NY Islanders.

A six-foot-one, 195-pound native of London, Ontario, DeMelo was originally drafted by San Jose in the sixth round (179th overall) of the 2011 NHL Draft.
