SAN JOSE, CA - The San Jose Barracuda (@SJBarracuda), proud American Hockey League (@TheAHL) affiliate of the National Hockey League's (@NHL) San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks), along with General Manager Joe Will have announced that the team has traded forward Vincent Praplan (@Praps_10) to the Florida Panthers (@FLAPanthers) for future considerations. Praplan is expected to report to Florida's AHL affiliate the Springfield Thunderbirds (@ThunderbirdsAHL).
"We want to thank Vincent for his contributions to the Barracuda," said Will. "This trade allows for Vincent to continue to grow in his professional career and provides an opportunity for our younger players to have an enhanced role moving forward."
In his first year in the AHL, Praplan has skated in 27 games for the Barracuda, totaling 16 points (four goals, 12 assists), 14 penalty minutes and a plus-7 rating.
The Sharks originally signed the six-foot, 190-pound winger as a free agent on March 2, 2018.
