San Jose, CA – The San Jose Barracuda (26-29-1-4) opened the scoring early in the first period and would never allow the Texas Stars (32-18-7-3) a lead, claiming a 5-4 overtime win at Tech CU Arena.

In the first, Brandon Coe (4) would open the scoring 3:50 into the frame, sending one over the shoulder Dylan Wells and ending a 22-game goalless drought, after Jeff Viel forced a Texas turnover. Kyle Criscuolo would collect point number 200 in the AHL with an assist on the goal. At the 14:19 mark of the period Barracuda goaltender Aaron Dell would pick up his first AHL assist with a stretch pass to Andrew Agozzino before Danil Gushchin (16) would put one off the post and in. At 16:42, Nicholas Caamano (2) would pull the Stars within one on a short-handed breakaway.

The second period would see Tristen Robins (12) go short side on Wells to restore the two-goal lead for the Barracuda at 1:34. The Stars would make a goaltending change, with Remi Poirier taking over in net. At 5:25, Riley Barber (28) would beat Dell along the ice to make it 3-2. Rhett Gardner (8) would tie the game at 13:45 with a quick shot over the left shoulder of Dell.

Starting the third period even at three apiece, former Stars forward Jacob Peterson (14) would score his first as a member of the Barracuda, sending one over the glove of Poirier. At 9:35, Barber (29) would pick up his second of the night to tie the score once again with a point-blank shot in front of Dell.
