BARRACUDA START FAST BUT FALL 7-5 EAGLES

San Jose, CA - The San Jose Barracuda (20-32-2-2) scored a season-high four goals in the first but allowed five in the second and eventually fell to the Colorado Eagles (31-19-4-3), 7-5, on Saturday afternoon at the SAP Center.

·       Joachim Blichfeld scored his 21st goal of the season in the first period. He currently leads the team in goals and points (38) in 51 games played. He also has points in five of his last six games (3+2=5).

·       Jayden Halbgewachs notched an assist for his 19th of the season. He now has points in five of his last six games (2+3=5).

·       Evan Weinger scored on the breakaway for his 11th goal of the season.

·       Jasper Weatherby had a career-high three points (0+3=3). In 17 games, the rookie forward has three goals and eight assists for 11 points.

·       Adam Raska snapped a 12-game goal drought with his fourth of the season. He also added an assist.

·       Antoine Morand (5) scored his first goal in a Barracuda sweater.

·       Nick Cicek scored his fifth goal of the season and his second in three games.

·       The Barracuda went 1-for-4 on the power-play and 2-for-3 on the penalty-kill.
