GAMEDAY: BARRACUDA AT GULLS

Roadie Wrap: On Wednesday, the Barracuda close its four-game season series with the San Diego Gulls (Anaheim Ducks) and, in the process, wrap up its four-game road trip. The Barracuda are 2-1 against the Gulls this season, shutting them out in both wins.

About Monday: The Barracuda scored with just 18 seconds left in regulation to force overtime on Monday at Acrisure Arena against the Firebirds but would eventually fall 4-3 in a shootout. In the loss, Aaron Dell made 36 saves, and the Barracuda got goals from Kyle Criscuolo, Danil Gushchin and Andrew Agozzino. The Firebirds scored twice on its seven power plays as Kole Lind and Cameron Hughes tallied while up a man, and Carsen Twarynski notched a goal at full strength. Chris Driedger collected the win by making 22 saves.

Most Recent Matchup: In the last meeting against the Gulls on Jan. 20, the Barracuda got a pair of goals from Kyle Criscuolo in his San Jose debut, and tallies from Andrew Agozzino, Darren Brady, Thomas Bordeleau, and Artemi Kniazev, along with 20 saves from Eetu Makiniemi en-route to a 6-0.

Cuda Chronicles: The Barracuda enter Wednesday five points behind the Tucson Roadrunners for the final playoff spot in the Pacific Division. SJ has three more road games left on its schedule and five total. The Barracuda will face Tucson in its last two games on April 14, 15 at the Tucson Convention Center.

Gaging the Gulls: Despite its 4-2 win at Iowa on Saturday, the Gulls are last in the AHL and have a league-worst minus-90 goal differential. The Gulls are last in the AHL in goals-for (2.55), goals-against (3.90), shots-for (26.18) and second to last in shots-against (32.82).
