Black Friday Bout: After a 5-1 loss to the Ontario Reign on Wednesday, the Barracuda continue its five-game road trip in Henderson on Friday. The Barracuda are 2-0 against the Silver Knights after a pair of wins at Tech CU Arena on Oct. 22 & 23. Between the playoffs and regular season, the Barracuda are 0-10 in Henderson lifetime after going 0-4 last year.

 

Knight and Day: The Silver Knights enter Friday having dropped its last two in a row and have just three wins over its last 10. The Knights are last in the AHL in points (5-13-0-0 = 10 pts.), goals for (2.50), and 21st in goals against (3.28).

  

Spiky Fish: The Barracuda are first in the AHL in penalty minutes (21.69), first in majors (13), and T-first in games misconducts (4). Barracuda forward Jeff Viel is second in the league in minors (13) and penalty minutes (56).

 

Rookie Arrivals: Rookies Thomas Bordeleau (7), Tristen Robins (6), William Eklund (4), Danil Gushchin (3), Brandon Coe (2), and Ozzy Wiesblatt (1) have accounted for 23 of the Barracuda’s 41 goals scored this year (56%). The most among any rookie class this season. Wiesblatt (Rd 1, 31st overall), Bordeleau (Rd 2, 38th Overall), Robins (Rd 2, 56th Overall), Gushchin (Rd 3, 76th Overall), and Coe (Rd 4, 98th Overall) were all part of the Sharks' historic nine-forward draft class in 2020.

 

Killin’ It: The Barracuda rank first in the AHL on the penalty kill (89.6) and are 8/8 versus the Silver Knights in two games. Henderson boast the third best PK unit (87.1) in the league and went 5/5 on the kill in its last outing on Wednesday.
