SAN JOE BARRACUDA ACQUIRE FORWARD JORDY BELLERIVE FROM LEHIGH VALLEY

San Jose, CA – The San Jose Barracuda (@SJBarracuda), AHL (@TheAHL) affiliate of the San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks), and General Manager Joe Will announced today that the team has acquired forward Jordy Bellerive from the Lehigh Valley Phantoms for future considerations.

Bellerive, 24, has appeared in 28 games this season with Lehigh Valley, collecting four points (three goals, one assist) and 40 penalty minutes.

Over his five-year pro career, the native of North Vancouver, British Columbia, has skated in 246 AHL games with the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins and Phantoms, collecting 93 points (41 goals, 52 assists) and 297 penalty minutes.

Before turning pro, the five-foot-10, 194-pounder spent four years in the Western Hockey League (WHL) with the Lethbridge Hurricanes where he dressed in 274 contests, notching 267 points (117 goals, 150 assists), 302 penalty minutes and a plus-37 rating. Bellerive served as the Hurricanes captain for his final two seasons from 2017-19.
