SAN JOSE, CA (Oct. 6, 2020) - San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) general manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has re-signed defenseman Nicolas Meloche to a one-year contract. Per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“Nicolas is a competitive defenseman who can effectively play at both ends of the ice,” said Wilson. “He plays a physical game and has a quality shot that allows him to play in many different situations and we’re looking forward to seeing him take the next step this upcoming season.”

Meloche, 23, spent the 2019-20 season with the San Jose Barracuda, appearing in 41 games and recording seven assists with 34 penalty minutes and a plus-one rating.
