SHARKS TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 2021 ROOKIE FACEOFF TOURNAMENT

SAN JOSE, CA (Aug. 18, 2021) – The San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) announced today that the team will participate in the 2021 "Rookie Faceoff" tournament from September 17-20 at Gila River Arena and the Ice Den Scottsdale in Arizona. The tournament will include four teams from the Pacific Division (Anaheim, Los Angeles, San Jose and Vegas) and two from the Central Division (Arizona and Colorado).

The Rookie Faceoff tournament, which features the top prospects from each club participating, was held in Las Vegas in 2018 and Anaheim in 2019. The Sharks roster will feature several exciting prospects including 2021 first-round selection William Eklund, 2020 first-round selection Ozzy Wiesblatt, and 2020 second-round selection Tristen Robins.

San Jose will play three games at the Ice Den Scottsdale during the tournament including Friday, Sept. 17 vs. the Anaheim Ducks at 5:00 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 19 vs. the Vegas Golden Knights at 2:00 p.m. and Monday, Sept. 20 vs. the Anaheim Ducks at 9:00 a.m.

A full roster for the Sharks will be announced at a later date.
