BARRACUDA DROPPED BY THE CANUCKS 5-1

San Jose, CA - The San Jose Barracuda (6-11-1-0) had their Teddy Bear Toss game spoiled at home by the Abbotsford Canucks (8-7-2-1) on Saturday afternoon at the SAP Center by a score of 5-1.

·        Adam Raska netted the team's teddy-bear toss goal at 7:32 of the second period, the first of his AHL career.

·        Nic Petan collected two assists to extend his point streak to five games (3+5=8) and now has 12 points (5+7=12) in 10 games played this season.

·        Sheldon Rampal ripped in a goal on the the power-play and added an assist to also extend his point streak to five games (3+5=8) and remains second on the team with 18 points (6+12=18) in 18 games played.

·        Spencer Martin (3-0-1-0) collected his third straight win and second consecutive win over the Barracuda, making 27 saves.

• After the loss, the Barracuda have now dropped three in a row and seven of their last eight. In addition, the team has given up a power-play goal in six consecutive outings.
